Born in Brooklyn, New York, Henry Reyes has used his skills to foster a community of support. After coming to Clark University with an offer to play soccer Reyes began the first of his many business ventures, Brooklyn Things. One day when Henry was walking through the streets of Worcester he noticed some shoes for sale, he bought them to take home and clean. Once he finished cleaning the shoes he started selling them upon realizing how big of a market there was for them on campus. Brooklyn Things became the go to business to get refurbished affordable shoes, and at the same time his business was taking off Henry’s time playing soccer came to an end due to a collarbone injury. While the business continued to grow and do well, Henry began to think of an idea that could help the community on a more grand scale.
He approached Clark’s Manager of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Professor Quinn, and with knowledge of an old thrift store that Clark had used before, he asked for the keys to revive it. After getting approval Henry put together a team of volunteers and renovated the old thrift store, and once they opened they were able to provide affordable and stylish clothes to the community. It was so much of a success that Reyes decided to put an end to Brooklyn Things in order to focus on being program manager of the Thrift Store and also President of the Entrepreneurship club. However after some time Henry missed Brooklyn Things and began to think of something new to fill the void, he would soon realize his friend Moses would help starting a new venture.
Moses Millman grew up in Brooklyn, New York, he played club soccer with a kid named Henry Reyes, and they would unknowingly end up going to the same college, Clark University. Moses’ business Millman Media grew on campus as well as his friendship with Henry, and they began to think of a way to help small businesses which they had both had. Millman Management, which started in their junior year, was a combination of Henry’s gained skills from the thrift store and Brooklyn Things and Moses’ skills from Millman Media. Millman Management's goal was to work with small brands, businesses, and individuals to grow their community through social media using videos and photos, and they have and will continue to do so spectacularly.
